Vintage girl's Sunsuit (Available to Order)

My first blog post! I made this little vintage sunsuit for my friend's daughter's first birthday. I adapted the pattern slightly - nappies do not need the space they once did! I also added a ric rac trim (after first testing it for colour fastness, I've learnt from my mistakes!). It was lovely making girls clothes for a change!

  1. Found your blog via instagram (I was hunting out vintage prams) I love this sun suit. We use washable nappies and usually patterns are too small......why I never thought to look at older ones I have no idea! Looking forward to following your sewing x

    1. Hi, sorry for the late reply, I should really check my emails more often! Thank you for your lovely comment, yes, the older patterns have much more room and are so comfy for the little ones. They tend to be less fussy around the tummy as they are supported by braces and gather at the back – which looks so cute! I’m hoping to post some new pics this week, I’ve been working on a 50’s overall set. Etsy have some truly beautiful patterns, I love the gorgeous illustrations although I have been stung by custom charges a few times, grrr!
